Hod vs. Greta (Stage: 70003) Location: The Library - Floor of Literature Greta (The Eighth Chef) I’m picking up a quirky smell here… It’s the scent of a nice sauce! Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_1" Hod (Patron Librarian - Literature) Greetings. I’m Hod, the Patron Librarian in charge of this floor. Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Hod_1" Greta (The Eighth Chef) Patron Librarian? Are you one of the chefs here? Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_2" Hod (Patron Librarian - Literature) This isn’t a restaurant or anything… But I guess it’s an equivalent if I had to make a comparison. Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Hod_2" Greta (The Eighth Chef) Name’s Greta! I got an order from our conductor! Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_3" Hod (Patron Librarian - Literature) Greta… Your skin is white like a pearl, just as your name suggests. Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Hod_3" Hod (Patron Librarian - Literature) I heard what happened to your former colleagues. The Eight Chefs have disbanded… Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Hod_4" Greta (The Eighth Chef) Oh, you’re talking about those cretins? Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_4" Greta (The Eighth Chef) They were a buncha morons. They declared that they got sick of ordinary cuisine and started cooking their own bodies. Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_5" Hod (Patron Librarian - Literature) Their own bodies? Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Hod_5" Greta (The Eighth Chef) Cooking, tasting, rating it, making notes… then back to preparing another part for cooking… Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_6" Greta (The Eighth Chef) They kept going until their teeth and tongues were all that’s left. Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_7" Greta (The Eighth Chef) Ain’t it sad? They got the teeth to chew the dishes, but their digestive tracts were boiled in a stew… Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_8" Greta (The Eighth Chef) They had the tongues to taste the dishes, but their brains turned into steaks! Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_9" Hod (Patron Librarian - Literature) …I’m sorry to hear that you were the only survivor. Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Hod_6" Greta (The Eighth Chef) Eh, it’s no biggie. If they were satisfied, who am I to mourn ‘em? Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_10" Greta (The Eighth Chef) How you cook doesn’t matter! So long as the end result is a treat!!! Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_11" Greta (The Eighth Chef) Nobody gives a rat’s buttered buns about what kinda ingredients are in their food. It’s the taste that matters! Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_12" Hod (Patron Librarian - Literature) It may not be easy to remember an ingredient’s name, but its taste would leave a strong impression that’s hard to forget. Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Hod_7" Greta (The Eighth Chef) I can’t with the snobs who are picky about ingredients. A lot of ‘em are too inflexible. Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_13" Hod (Patron Librarian - Literature) Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Hod_8" Greta (The Eighth Chef) Hm? Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_14" Greta (The Eighth Chef) Ah, so you were one of ‘em! Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_15" Hod (Patron Librarian - Literature) I understand that there can be endless debate about the issue. If we kept arguing about what we can and can’t eat, we might as well reach the conclusion that we should refrain from consuming anything. Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Hod_9" Hod (Patron Librarian - Literature) Still… I don’t think I can be at peace with the idea of eating my fellow human being. Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Hod_10" Greta (The Eighth Chef) Why think of ‘em as the same kind as you? You get wind of something savory, an’ ya find and eat it. What more is there to think about? Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_16" Greta (The Eighth Chef) The smell in the air tells me that there’s a fresh ingredient out there. How could a predator ignore the scent of blood in the ocean current! Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_17" Greta (The Eighth Chef) But let me tell ya, sister, ingredients these days are too filthy or frail. Delicious ones are hard to come by nowatimes. Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_18" Hod (Patron Librarian - Literature) What do you mean by that? Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Hod_11" Greta (The Eighth Chef) I’m being literal! There’s more than enough food for everyone to feast on, but people always feel that there’s not enough ‘cause some of ‘em like their meals luxurious. Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_19" Greta (The Eighth Chef) When somebody who can live with three meals a day decides to take four, someone else is left with two! Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_20" Greta (The Eighth Chef) Then the poor sods who only get two meals a day fight over what little food they’ve got left to sate their hunger. Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_21" Greta (The Eighth Chef) If you lose that competition, you live the life of a rat feeding on scraps! Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_22" Greta (The Eighth Chef) The ingredients we get today are either greasy fatsos who ate too much or skinny twigs with barely any meat… Neither are any good! Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_23" Greta (The Eighth Chef) Now the filthy flavor is seeping into the dishes we cook!!! Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_24" Greta (The Eighth Chef) Our conductor will be the one to fix that! He’ll take me to a world where there are pure and clean ingredients aplenty! Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_25" Greta (The Eighth Chef) That day can’t come soon enough! I’ve been filling my stomach with trash for too long. Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_26" Hod (Patron Librarian - Literature) Pure and untainted people… Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Hod_12" Hod (Patron Librarian - Literature) I guess neither of us… or anyone in the City could say that they’ve done the right thing. Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Hod_13" Hod (Patron Librarian - Literature) We just followed our hearts… Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Hod_14" Hod (Patron Librarian - Literature) And that’s why… I’ll do my best to stop you here. Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Hod_15" Greta (The Eighth Chef) I wonder what sauce will go well with this display… Want a little taste test? HAWHAW!!! Audio: "ch7_Blue_ep2_HG_Greta_27"
